Beautiful Beef: Meals To Add Wow Back Into Family Dinner

I confess that I would never make a good vegetarian as I love my meat too much. I enjoy checking out new recipes for meat, and a friend of mine recently joked that I should start a blog about my meat obsession. So, making a meat blog is what I have done. If you lack inspiration for fast, tasty ways you can turn a slab of meat into something your family will ask for more of, then you need to read my posts. I promise you won't need to spend a fortune on fancy spices, but you too can make a meal worthy of bragging about.

How to serve your guests — Catering options for your event

We are creatures of habit. We plan our day around when we are going to eat. Over the years we've even labelled our meal times and assigned different types of food to each time slot. When organising a party or any event, one of the main questions you will hear will be "Will there be food?" Because people are organising when they will be eating. Most people would be disappointed to hear that there would be no food and they'd have to arrange their own before coming to your event. So, to ensure the event is memorable for all your guests you have to get the catering services right. Most event catering services offer a multitude of choices. To list the foods available to serve at parties would be almost never ending, but there are quite specific ways you can serve your food, and it depends on the event that you are planning which of these would be best for you.

1.Sit down meal

If you're looking for a civilised event, you can choose to have all your guests seated and offer them a sit down meal. In this scenario you can serve your guests as many courses as you like. Convention would say three courses, which include a starter, main and dessert, but you don't need to be confined to these as many other courses can be incorporated to blow away your guests. It depends how long you want the sit down meal to last, how much you want to spend, and how stuffed you want your guests to be.

2. Buffet

Always a crowd pleaser, because of the many different choices, you can't go wrong with a buffet. There are many options for buffets at your event. Obviously your guests might not like everything the buffet offers but with enough choice everyone will be happy. You can opt for a hot buffet, where your guests have choice of a few main meals like a chilli, a stroganoff or a vegetarian choice and can add to that with hot choices which could include chips, rice, jacket potatoes. The hot buffet would usually require your guests to sit and eat. If you require your event to allow for more mingling and informality, you could choose a cold buffet with a multitude of choices including sausage rolls, quiche, sandwiches and plenty more options.

3. BBQ

If you have an outdoor event, especially if it's during the height of summer, you must pull out all the stops to entertain your guests with a Barbecue. You can mix this with option 2 and offer a buffet with it.

However you choose to serve your guests, catering services will be able to provide all your needs, but the final decision lies with you.
